The Canada Hub is a place for Canadian amateur radio operators and international visitors to meet, socialize, and exchange ideas.

We invite you to connect, connect often, and stay connected full time if you like. We encourage you to put out your call sign and respond to others who do so. Most repeaters are underused simply because people are hesitant to start a QSO. What is radio if there are no signals? Let’s use our spectrum, protect it, and develop new uses for it.

We also encourage everyone to join our weekly “Trans-Canada Net” held every Sunday at 1pm Eastern time. Current net control operators include Lance VA3LP, Tom Stefanac VA3VWX, Chris VE3RWJ, Dave VE5UO, Scott VA7SL and the occasional guest appearance from Adrian VE7NZ when he is not busy contesting on HF. The system also carries other nets on occasion. Please click here for times and dates.

The network was the idea of Adrian VE7NZ with contributions from Scott VA7SL (who also came up with the name!). We are supported and inspired by the members of the North Fraser Amateur Radio Club (ve7nfr.com) – the club that has no meetings, no politics, and one goal: “get things done.”

Control operators (VE7NZ, VA7SL, VE3BZ, VE7SLZ, VO2GO, and KC5RJL) are often listening and happy to welcome new arrivals to the network. We also monitor for technical problems on the network and offer help when we hear repeaters or nodes that are having issues like stuck transmitters. Sometimes things go wrong and we all should remember, in the words of VE7FW, “It’s only a hobby.

We are happy to offer friendly technical support to anyone we can, including helping you set up new repeaters and nodes to join the network.
