Often users will connect a net to us. We don’t mind this on occasion, particularly if the net is a Canadian one.

If you want a net to be regularly hosted on The Canada Hub we are certainly open to that although prefer nets that have a Canadian focus. Please send us an email and we can see if it fits with the goals of The Canada Hub and won’t conflict with any existing schedules.

Currently the following nets can often be found on The Canada Hub (all times are “Pacific” / West Coast time)

  • Mondays at 5:00pm – The “Sounds Good Net” hosted by Chris VE3RWJ. This is a net for anyone interested in music – playing, recording, listening and trivia.
  • Tuesdays at 4:00pm – The Absolute Tech Net (www.absolutetech.org) featuring technical discussions related to ham radio or of general interest.
  • Thursdays at 4:00pm – The Triode Net from the Prescott-Russell Amateur Radio Club. A fun net where they ask questions about everyone’s activities and share ideas.
  • Saturdays starting at either 1:00pm or 1:30pm depending on the host – The TOP TALK net hosted out of the UK. In this net they interview a popular ham operator, usually a YouTuber, and take questions.
  • Saturdays from 6-8pmish – The Science Net with Ken VA3KEX. This is unlike any other net you’ve heard. A round table discussion on a variety of science news.
  • Sundays at 10:00am for 60-90 minutes, our own Trans-Canada Net.  Check-ins from across Canada are prioritized but then we open it up and welcome check-ins from around the world!
  • Sundays at 12 noon until ~2pm is the New Hams net hosted out of the UK by Keith M7BYD
